Seasonal Rhythm
Rajasthan has a predominantly arid to semi-arid climate, with very hot summers, a short monsoon and cool winters. Summer from April to June is extremely hot, particularly in the desert and western regions, with temperatures frequently reaching 40°C-45°C and sometimes higher. The Southwest Monsoon brings most rainfall from July to September, although precipitation varies considerably across the state. Winter from November to February is cool and dry, with warm days and chilly nights.
The best time to explore Rajasthan is October to March, when cooler and drier conditions are ideal for forts, palaces, heritage towns, wildlife and desert journeys. Winter is particularly comfortable for sightseeing, while the cooler desert nights create a distinctive experience. Spring remains pleasant before temperatures begin rising sharply.
