Seasonal Rhythm

Telangana has a hot, predominantly semi-arid tropical climate, with distinct summer, monsoon and winter seasons. March to May is the hottest period, with temperatures frequently rising to 35°C-42°C, particularly across the interior. The Southwest Monsoon brings most of the state’s annual rainfall from June to September, transforming the landscape, while October and November are generally warmer but increasingly comfortable as the rains recede.

The most favourable time to visit Telangana is October to February, when cooler, drier weather makes sightseeing, heritage exploration and outdoor excursions more comfortable. November to January is particularly pleasant for exploring Hyderabad and the state’s historic sites. The post-monsoon months can also be rewarding for visiting rural landscapes, reservoirs and wildlife areas as the countryside becomes greener.
